Jamie Dornan News: Actor Receives A Very High Honor In Belfast [VIDEO]

He hasn't won a Golden Globe or an Academy Award for his acting chops just yet, but that doesn't mean he's not getting the recognize he deserves

Jamie Dornan hasn't won a Golden Globe or an Academy Award for his acting chops just yet, but that doesn't mean he's not getting the recognize he deserves. In fact, the Irish-born actor received quite the honor in his native Belfast this week, as he was chosen as one of the faces for the city's Translink Metro Legends bus.
According to the Belfast Telegraph on Monday, the Hollywood actor along with Ulster rugby and Ireland captain Rory Best are the new faces of the bus, after winning the vote in a month-long campaign in the Northern Ireland capital. They've been chosen as "local heroes" who have "excelled in their industry, made a positive impact and shone the spotlight on Belfast for all the right reasons."
As a result, both Dornan and Best get to see their faces on custom metro buses that will run through the city for the summer months ahead.

Best said in a statement about the award, "I am very humbled to be included on the bus. It's a great honour to play for your province and country and now I can add this to the list. Thank you to everyone that voted for me, I know my kids are really excited about it. I'm in South Africa now and after a few weeks off for some R&R I'll be back in pre-season training, and in an Ulster jersey. I'll have to take it to Kingspan."
So far Dornan himself has not made any comments about the honor, although his father, Dr. Jim Dornan, was present during the metro bus revealing ceremony in Belfast this week. The actor is currently in Vancouver, filming back-to-back movies of the next several installments of the Fifty Shades of Grey series.
